I really wanted to do this. I did something similar to this a long time ago, here: dragonwithashotgun.deviantart.… .

So I wanted to draw a way that I wished they would have portrayed Aleu. In truth, I feel she should have looked more like dog than wolf. I know it was a kids movie and such, but I still don't like the whole idea of "Oh no, she's part wolf, she shall never belong in Nome". I mean... Balto IS Nome's hero in the movie, and Jenna is a purebred husky and both dogs have a good temperament with people, AND wolfdogs are commonly thought to be good sled dogs as well, if they have the favored temperament. It should not matter if Aleu shared the same heritage as her father, all her siblings were adopted anyway even when those people had to have known that Balto was the father. I think Balto was just being a terrible parent, throughout the WHOLE movie. -.-'

Anywho, here's my version of Aleu. Threw in a blue collar for the heck of it.
