Here's a little hopper friend on a ?wheat? ...Either way, there's a lot of these little fellows on my field, they come in all sorts of colours, and are fun to try and catch (especially if your a cat)... (don't worry though, no hoppers hurt in the process).
These guys are rather nice, as they don't eat my succulent garden (only little nibbles I don't mind)- so they're just fun to observe.
