FULLVIeW!!! xDOh god, this took like, 4 days. Each day I did a little bit. When I finally finished the stupid crow I did not know what to do for the background. So I lazilly threw in some snow. I still have the original crow by itself, so If I get any more ideas I will do them. I think the background does not suit the crow. =_=
Anyway, I did this with photo reference again, DEFINITELY. The feathers are SO SO difficult to do. Its really good because after I finished this, I knew a lot more about some bits of anatomy xD
Edit: changed the background a little and used these brushes [link]

Oil paint is cool, you just have to learn how to control it. It makes a painting look full and clear. It takes weeks to dry though.

the posture looks like the crow is landing, but the snow is making it seem as though it is flying. o.O or is it just me?

The trick is to have two windows open in photoshop, one is the photo and one is the drawing. Usually the colors you can pick from the original then color a bit. (but the crow one i used my own colors) But if you wanna do that it usually takes a long time.
