Description At the time Malefor has just turned against the dragons, wiping out entirely the Wind dragons and Aeros the Wind Guardian. Aquarius gathers his kind and leaves the temple. Heading for the rivers of Avalar.

As he leaves the current fire guardian Infernacus pleads for him to stay and aid them in the fight against Malefor. Aquarius has no sympathy for them, they did not heed his warning and he blames the other guardians for the deaths of the wind dragons.

After he left the other guardians made the decision to revoke all ancient rights that Aquarius and the water dragons had at the temple. They were no longer welcome there.

Just a doodle I did...I missed drawing Aquarius.

You've got great ideas for stories!

Aquarius sure was selfish!

Wonder what will happen when Abyssia gets to him and his kin.

He who decides to withdraw from battle due to mourning and rage and not offer his comrades support then feel fine with them dying is not fit to lead an entire race of his own kind. Aquarius is no guardian; he's nothing but a butt hurt, tail-in-between-his-legs coward who left more of his brethren to die in the battlefield. Foolish, simpleminded, dense buffoon. I bet he would speak with irreverence in his voice when speaking of those who fought and died during the war, saying they deserve the death that's been given to them for not listening to him. No, they don't deserve it. He thinks he's the one to do all the work trying to help the others see the truth of the matter only to leave them all die when the crisis occurs. Disappointing. He could've prevented further casualties like Aeros' if he wanted to, but he decided to leave like a coward. How pathetic. Why was he even classified as being a part of the war, to fight off against Malefore if he's done fuck all but stand there with a stick up his ass and complain to himself about how everyone should've listened to him. unacceptable, idiot, fool. More dragons are dead because of his early retreat. I could express my thoughts about him further and further, but I think I've given enough thought towards him.

True, but Malefor had already decimated the wind dragons at this point, in Aquarius' mind Malefor was much too powerful to take on now even with combined efforts he felt it would be futile. Being the guardian of the water dragons he felt his responsibility was to his own kind first, it was cowardly, but in his mind it was his job to protect the water dragons.

The price was high though as he and his kind would never again be welcome at the temple again.

First of all, of course the wind dragons were already incinerated by Malefor, I was merely referring to other dragon races' casualties that could've been prevented. Second of all, of course he would think fighting Malefor was a waste of time, that's what all those hopeless cowards say before running away. That idiot could've stayed and fought like a real guardian, he could've at least tried to avenge Aeros and the wind dragons, but he did nothing but leave all others behind. He is no guardian. After all, what's the point in making you a guardian if you won't even guard anything? He didn't guard his brethren or even Aeros; where the hell could he possible have been far enough to not be with Aeros before his demise?  And lastly, reading everything I've stated, I can see why they would not let that bastard return to the temple. That traitor deserves all his hate, he deserves his banishment. At least not all water dragons think like him, at least they would've tried; but he forced them all to retreat. Because of him, all water dragons now probably carry a bad image. Jesus Christ, even other guardians must think the same at this point; what great dishonor. And Volga, she loved Aeros so much and yet now he's gone, far from her; I can imagine the unrelenting rage taking over Volga and turning her into a blood-thirsty beast like Lasair after he discovered the death of his children. Aeros' death may not have been Aquarius' fault, but it isn't like he tried to do a damn thing to prevent it either. I hope I don't anger you as I express my anger; I don't want that.

Wow! I am surprised you are so passionate about this part of my story That's pretty cool.

Yep Aquarius was selfish, but he felt he was acting in the best interests of his own family-the water dragons that he was put in charge of protecting and leading.

But...there's a little bit of a secret in why Aquarius was so secretive and protective about his element...

As water is the element of life in the claws of a purple dragon it could be pushed so much farther, if Malefor had captured Aquarius' kin he could've forced the water guardian into teaching him the secrets of his element. Malefor could've twisted the boundaries of the element... perhaps even 'restoring life'. Aquarius knew this and he also knew it would be a great gift in the hands of someone with a good heart--but for someone with a heart as black as Malefor's he would've used it to create an army that was immortal.

Aquarius always spoke of Malefor's dark potential, at every chance he could muster, but the others dismissed him as being 'paranoid' every time.

Malefor also ambushed Aeros, making sure the Wind guardian was alone when he killed him.

Hmm. Aquarius was wise not to let his element fall into the wrong hands or claws. It may change tiny things about him, but a lot still remains. Like the fact that he is spared from the guilt of not being able to save Aeros or the wind dragons. But you see, I look at Aquarius, not only from my own mind, but other "spectators" as we'll, other beings, other dragons, other guardians. Like how I mentioned what I believed Volga would've felt towards him when she heard about Aeros, blaming Aquarius for retreating and not helping; we know that isn't true, but she doesn't. As a matter of fact, no other dragon knows Aquarius' true intentions back then. As I've stated, I see him through other eyes, other perspectives. Truthfully, a part of me feels very sorry for him, to have to be labeled a traitor and tyrant. Yet, antother part of me despises him for letting so many others die even if this wasn't really his intentions. Even if he was captured by the dark master, he would be wise to keep quiet and die honorably like a hero than to die a traitor to all. Remember the comic I told you I'd make? I will reflect my previous thoughts in it, but I won't make Aquarius a fiend. In fact; I shall allow one of my creations to help him rise above his rotten past. I really do want to help him. I pity him.

Saying "I told you so" is bad enough. No one could have prodicted Malefor would decide to follow a dark path.
Although I can understand both sides equally. They didn't have to ban all the water dragons though. Sometimes you have no choice but to go with your kin. I'm sure some of the water dragons wanted to help. Oh well.
Great job as always.

Just as Harlan Wade (from the game F.E.A.R) said "It is the way of men to make monsters...and it is the nature of monsters to destroy their makers.", so I can't argue against Aquarius because he DID warn the other guardians.

Nice work, i love the tones of blue, especially on his eye

Honestly I can understand Aquarius but instead of running away he should've helped the other guardians and if not the other guardians the rest of the dragon race! I mean his water breath would've been really helpful. oops sorry for the rant, I really like how you did the lighting, his pose, expression and eye!

Well, he DID warn them...

And, isn't it theoretically possible (in your story) for a Wind dragon to be born, if a grandparent, father, etc. was one? I recall reading in your comic that when the two (Kindle and...Uh...Lasair, was it?) were Fire, but do to an Earth dragon being in Lasair's heritage they had an Earth dragon child as well :/

I can't blame him...

In his Burns the "Is your mess not mine, deal with it"..

I mean every soul here agreed, why help the one I try so hard to warn and not listen one word what i say, there not logic in that, even when they are consequence of that action.

Of course everyone realize this was say because anger took his heart and just go, I imagine after he cool down he just reflex his decision and well, he was not so heartless to see the number of causalities but the damage was done, they were labeled as exiles.

That why i think he asked his brethren to aid the safe passage of spyro, for the grief and sorrow for past decision of cannot undone, at least he think this little gesture of aid the next purple dragon will aid him in pace his heart and redeem a little in the eyes of himself, his people, his ancestor and perhaps to Aeros himself watching the thinks unfold in the afterlife....That time I imagine was unbearable for him.

Well Aquarius doesn't believe he's in the wrong. He believes the other Guardians brought the terror of Malefor upon themselves and he's upset that no one listened to him. As a Guardian it's his duty to protect the future of his kind. After seeing Aero's and the Wind dragons wiped off the map he doesn't want to take any risks, at the cost of forsaking his rights to the temple he does what he believes is best to protect his kind.
