Description
I drew this very late last night as I was having internet problems yet again.
This is Arcticus, a very OLD ice dragon, he is Blizzara's mate and the more level headed of the two. He's the only one that can settle Blizzara's cold temper. He is icy but has a warm heart and he's a little bit of a hopeless romantic.
He is known as a 'patriarch' of the ice dragons as he is a father to countless whelps, and he loves all of them greatly but can't remember any of their names!
I had originally planned for Arcticus to have just passed away in my comic, but i love his character so much that I want to keep him in it.

that I find beautiful in this dragon is its blue color on the belly. Above his head, he has a head of Dragon King

ang he got lot a wrinkles but on the bright sied he's nice and he kinda looks similair to Cyril

uh...i just happened to notice his pic looks almost exactly like some concept art of ignitus i've seen...with a few differences. please tell me you only used that pic for reference...not trying to be mean but i've seen so many pics of people's so-called "original" characters where they claim the art but it is in fact edited concept art for TLoS characters.

Nope i didn't even have the concept art in sight when i made this. Although i do see what you're saying. =/ This is not an edited pic at all its 100% original. You can actually pull up the concept art pics and put em side by side and tell that its not traced or edited. The pose is the only thing thats kinda similar.
That being said I've been drawing the Spyro dragons an awful lot (i have oodles of sketches that I don't have posted on here) and ive been trying to get the style very similar to the original artists.

oh. he does look like ignitus's concept art, though. i mean, his face is the same shape (the spikes on his jaw etc) and the spikes on his shoulder blades. the bone spurs on his wings as well, it looked like it was traced o something that's all. i looked a bit more closely and realized his butt wasn't high enough to be an edited pic of ignitus XDD

thats funny that you say he looks so much like Ignitus XD as i was trying to make his head structure look similar to Cyril's, the spikes on the shoulders too were meant to mimic Cyril's.

what computer program do you use to do your drawings? i use paint but they end up wrong! D:

I use Adobe Photoshop elements 5.0--it took a while to get the hang of but there are many great tutorials on the web

Well....I think its kinda a Roman/Latin thing maybe? Like in the movie Gladiator it seemed all the characters names had the 'us' in the end: Maximus Decimus Meridius, Comodus, Quintus, and Marcus Arelius.

Just asking here but you do know Blizzara is a spell in Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts 2 Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Chain Of Memories and Re:Chain Of Memories right? If I sounded like a jerk to you then I'm sorry about that just trying to inform you thats all.

Love it. His expression is funny, and his paws are adorably small. Which is weird since he's a fully grown dragon, and shouldn't be cute at all.
I wonder how he can even fly?
