Here's another little Redraw of mine. I changed the whole scene a little bit and now I find it more fitting.
By the way, Litten is my favourite starter in the Alola region. And his Evolution Torracat rocks totally! I mean... Hey, it's a firecat! That's the kind of pet you want. Don't you think so?

Looking at this plus the original, so much has improved. Great job!! Lets talk a little about backgrounds. Grass is one heck of a challenge. but What I would do, is make a block of green, kinda like you already did. Blue out the top edge. Then using the same green as before make some strains go up ward to help build the grass. Do some thick, some thin, some tall some short. Then do the same with the darks, its all random at this point. Of course add some lights according to your lighting source. The key to grass is literally no hard boarder lines. That goes for the ground as well. I think he is super cute! ^-^ I love the texture on the wood btw.
