This LEGO MOC was created on my inspiration from both the Southern Pacific Cab Forward steam locomotives, as well as other train models done by the more hardcore LEGO fans. Initially starting on this model towards the end of 2013, I referred to other people's attempts to replicate the iconic locomotive design in LEGO form.

My first ever version was roughly made and, due to me getting caught up in my education and later army service, this model lay forgotten in my LDD folder for a few years. However, feeling motivated last year, I brushed up on my skills and ultimately reworked this MOC as you see it now. Although it is still heavily based on the real thing, many of its aesthetics are of my own work.

Update
While transferring my LDD folders to my new laptop, I made the grave mistake of sending all my folders at once through OneDrive without using unlimited cloud storage, meaning that I lost all of my models in the process because they failed to upload properly. As a result, I had to remake this model from memory and using the old render as a reference, but it also gave me the opportunity to improve upon the old design to make it look much better, especially the tender.

This version is currently unpowered as there are no available parts for Power Functions or Powered Up train motors in Bricklink Studio for now, but I will install the motors eventually when the motors are added.
