Everytime I play AC2, I miss AC1 more!!!It's not that I'm not enjoying the game, it's because Altair is so great...
When I told my friends about this, some of them said they actually went back playing AC1 again XD Oh how we love AC1 and Alty and Malik..

Finally someone who loves AC1 as much as I do! It's actually my favourite game in the series. I found it very relaxing and enjoyable. The others were great, but I enjoy simplicity from time to time and riding the horses through the valleys to each location, rather than simply teleporting like in the newer games was great.

I loved the first game but found it very samey. I think it'd be good if they did another one on Altair so that we have a chance to play as him again but with the better systematics.

I still haven't unlocked that after a year of owning the games. Lol. xD I suck at life on that front. No it isn't the same. And thats altairs armour. I find it an insult to his memory to let Desmond wear it. Though that might just be me.

AC1 was a great game because it allowed you to do so many things with such basic tools and mechanics. I loved the storyline and how realistic it all seemed. I was excited to play AC2 but was immensely disappointed. The storyline was painful to play through with with plotholes here and there, very unrealistic, annoying characters that were a complete joke, hard to take seriously and the combat was a joke... and it was like a heart-weighing poison that I needed AC1 to be an antidote to.
I don't hate Ezio as a character, I just think his story was so far-fetched and unexplained to the point where the story sucked. As in... where did he get his parkour training? Why is he able to kill without getting phased (he's cold, at least Altair was more concerned about his killings)? Why are the "assassins" thieves and murderers when they're meant to help humanity escape tyranny? I also thought the game was very increative.
An other opinion I have is about how many people Ezio is able to kill single-handedly. No man in history without supreme power was able to accomplish that. Whereas Altair's killings had to be in private or were planned precisely. Yes I know it's a videogame and all but I just think AC2 was very poorly done.

But come on, saying AC2 was increative is ridiculous, knowing they added so much more customization and options to the game. Unexplained? Were the character developments and the fact they even incorporated his family into the game not enough? He is an assassin by blood, driven by vengeance, why wouldn't he fucking kill? Single-handedly? Were you completely unaware of how many fucking people helped the guy? If he was alone he wouldn't have even made it past Florence. It was very well done, and not ignoring the fact that AC1 is still an awesome game.

I love it how they had the statue in there, and how you could win AltaΓ―r's armor and use his sword (which is badass. BADASS. You can kill like five guards at once.)

I'm playing both currently. Whenever I miss AC1 I pop out AC2 and put in AC1 and then when I miss AC2 i do the reverse. But yeah when I got to this part in AC2 I looked at the statue of Altair and deeply missed him.

Heheh, yeah, Altair is my favorite ancestor. (and I have to admit, I love Malik too xD Which is one reason I wasn't too happy with Bloodlines. It has no Malik so far, and I'm pretty close to the end. D8 )
