(this is his redesign! the design in this post is outdated. but the information in that post is still valid. in this post i will go more into detail about this character though so click the link to the old post for the short version)

About the character
Pip is a 17 year old elf who is one of the main characters in my comic called Kin
he is a big ol' homosexual
Pip is the only like.. biological child from the parents in the Outteridge family , which consists of two mothers, one brother and two little sisters (and a lil Caterpillar pet)
he is very close with his little sister Donut .
in this family he learned to both speak Dutch and English, but mostly Dutch. English is mostly just a secundary language
(the whole family also lives in a treehouse in the Woods btw)
he is religious! most elves practice this kind of elf religion (will make sure to make a post about it)

he as a person is very shy. to make matters worse for him, he suffers from social anxiety. he does his best to get over his fears but it is obviously not easy..
overall he is a pretty calm and collected person though when he isn't with too many people. he's definetly an introvert. he likes hanging out with Donut, but sometimes she has to leave Pip alone for a moment so i can have a silent moment for himself. in these alone time moments he often meditates or just listen to the sounds nature has to offer.
despite him being so shy around people, he is still very kind. he always wants to help out when people need it, it just takes some courage do actually offer the help. which is a big reason why he wants to get over his anxiety!

Pip is a vegetarian! which is like.. the biggest excuse Donut has for giving her greens to her brother Pip. he really likes brocolli for dinner and those little baby carrot snacks. he often makes food for himself since his parents often are late from work. he doesn't mind though, in fact, he really likes cooking! which brings me to his hobbies!

his hobbies mainly consist of photography,cooking and just overall taking care of animals. he likes to go out into the forest with Donut to take pictures of wild animals or just the landscape itself. when he goes to a big city he often finds himself taking a lot of pictures of the houses that stand there and just other small random things. since he doesn't go out too often he is easily facinated by they way those things are build. he practices cooking in the evenings mostly. he has gotten quite good at it. he doesn't know weither he should build a job out of cooking or photography. he definetly likes photography more than cooking but knows cooking has a more solid ground beneath it. only time can tell i suppose.

The backstory (or what i can reveal for now)
(note: unlike the others, Pip has mostly just lived a normal calm life. so i mostly will talk about the big things that kind of happened around him)

Pip grew up in a little village with his mum and dad. all was calm and quiet until Donut joined the family. it was then that they decided to move out to a more quieter place. Pip's parents bought a piece of land in the forest and build their new home on it!... in a tree... because that is absolutely awesome.
for a long time Pip still went to a normal preschool.. but he got bullied a lot so his parents decided to homeschool him.
some time passes and Pip's father came out of the closet, telling the family that he feels more like a woman than a man. Pip and Donut were confused at first but just like the rest of the family respected her decisions. two years later Pip's parents adopted Osiris. this change was a bit too big for Pip. he didn't really know how to deal with this new kid, they actually argued a lot for a while. but once they discovered they actually have a lot in common things turned around really quick. there is still a slight friction between the two now and then, but nothing a good talk can't solve. around the time Pip's parents adopted another kid Pip started to get into contact online with Liam and Lucas. Pip was 16 around that time. Pip and Donut both grew fond of them and before they knew it they had already been talking for a year. realising they hadn't met up yet they decided to go over to Lucas and Liam for a sleep over. and that is where the story in Kin basically begins
Pip basically just had a normal childhood.

appearance
(you might be asking why i put this here? well, mainly because some things don't show in my art either because of my style or just because of a lack of experience. i will mostly just describe texture and shapes though. this here is more about how the character feels. so sit tight)

his hair is really messy but soft. it is also naturally curly.
he has freckles all over. he has them on his face, his back, his butt.. everywhere. go wild
his ears are long. he definetly doesn't have those small elf ears, he has the long ones.
he kind of has lil whip nose. just that kind of nose that points up, you know?
the shoes he's wearing are made by himself and are basically just sacks around his feet with shoe bottoms glued to them. if it works it works
his necklace (it's like.. the symbol for his religion) is made out of gold.
his pants aren't really pants.. in all honesty, they're just leggings. they are comfy and that is all that matters to him

(holy heck that is another one in the pocket.. sorry that the backstory is so boring. he doesn't really have some dramatic and deep backstory. so i kinda put in his familie life)
