Hive World New Byzantium specializes in a variety of operational doctrines, traditionally they are a producer of Line Infantry regiments for many millenniums since the early Imperium whilst producing a versatile range of war material useful for the suitable equipment of the subsector the Hive world is located within. Worsening conflicts in the more recent ages have progressed steady reforms in military policy, leading to he formation of New Byzantine Mechanized legion under the supervision of the planetary PDF Commissariat. This included updates to planetside manufacturing to allow fabrication of more complex systems including relocation of critical manufactorums from the beleaguered Tower Forge world, presently besieged by the neighboring 'New Kingdom' through elements of the 'Crimson Sons' Chaos Warband.

This Chimera is a singular example of a vehicle now produced by the New Byzantium, either to be tithed off world to the Munitorum at the discretion of the Adeptus Terra, or outfitted to the new PDF elite of the Hive world to also eventually be tithed to the service of the greater Imperium. Whole companies of these tanks are now produced and assigned accordingly per regular tithe and in the new age of the post Indomitus crusade, they are sorely required.
