Well here is the story! One day Romano was doing the cleaning in Spain's room ((yeah, i thik lovi was sick or something for doin that idk)) and found this little box. He opened it and the first thing he found was this old photo of Tonio
The date in the picture is the year of birth of Toño (according to Wikipedia ) as a result of the marriage between Fernando de Aragón and Isabel de Castilla ~ ( ﾟ∇ ﾟ)
I have no idea if the photography already existed at that time, I think not ಠ_ಠ

According to canon, he was the Roman province of Hispania, making his birthdate in at least 218BC. That's if he didn't already exist; Hispania was known as "Ishfania" in Punic, as it was a Carthaginian province before the Punic Wars. It had its own advanced cultures which had contact with Phoenician and Greek colonisers as far back as the 10th century BC, and the Tartessians (mentioned in Herodotus, Ephorus, and other sources) were such advanced metal workers that the Babylonians made a three month trip from the middle east past the Straits of Gibraltr and down the Guadalquivir River just to trade with them. Cadiz is the oldest continually inhabited city in western Europe, and other cities were established very early on (e.g. Cordoba). I personally think Spain represented the entire of Iberia from at least 218BC, and it was only when the country now known as Portugal established an independant nation that Portugal was born in 868AD at the earliest, and 1139AD at the latest.

Well, in that case, China cannot possibly be 4000 years old, as the nation of China, named after Qin Shi Huang Di (the first emperor of China) only came into existance in 220BC. However, Himaruya has stated that China IS 4000 years old. Therefore, as long as there is a group of people who see themselves as "of the land", and who have an advanced culture, a country can exist. Its name just changes. So, I have to say that Spain is Hispania, as Himaruya has stated that he was a Roman province. Even though Spain the country didn't exist until the end of the Reconquista, he was just known by different names: Al-Andalus to the Moors, the Visigoths formed the Asturian Kingdom which would one day be called Spain, the Romans called it Hispania, the Carthaginians called it Ishfania, the Greeks called it Hesperia...
Well, let's just say "What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet". Just because his name changed, doesn't mean he did. I consider what Himaruya says to be canon. As he's said Spain was a Roman province, I'm forced to conclude that Spain must be Hispania, and he is therefore far older than Portugal.
