dojoh In reply to thecell [2005-05-21 15:59:30 +0000 UTC]

Deswegen hab ch halt beide hochgeladen

Grüße Ole

I did a bit of an experiment (hope you don't mind): I took your colour version and ran it through a channel calculation operation in Photoshop, blending the green and blue channels using overlay at 100% (but masking out the pupils first) - makes for a really stunning B&W image. There's a really great tutorial on Monocolour Photos .

Neat photo.

well i'm not sure if i understand you right and i took the right operation in photoshop (as i got the german version).
you mean the operation where you can mix the three rgb chanels together to get a b/w image? if i set green and blue to 100% i get very much white space. so i'm not sure i understand you right.
whould be great if you could show me your version.

btw: [link] doesn't exist.

greets Ole

I posted a quickie tutorial in my scraps. The first one is here -> [link]

And that tutorial is on Monocolour Photos .

dojoh In reply to Shurakai-Zero [2005-05-29 18:37:58 +0000 UTC]

hiho thanks for your tutorial! i realy used another function of photoshop.
sweet output, but somehow i like my b/w version even more (somhow its "glowing" even more). but well, thats a matter of taste.
i have to search for this "calculation" function in the german ps cs. i used the channel mixer on monochrom mode for b/w images like this.

greets and thanks for the monocolour photos tutorial too.

Thanks for the heads-up on the link. (Slaps head with palm)

I'll post it in my scraps section, along with a couple of screen shots of the operation. I don't know if it would necessarily stand on its own as a B&W shot, but it might form the basis for a really cool image. I'll send you a message when it's there.

Cheers.
