Haha, everyone has their favorite. Yes, this puppy was just darling. I wish he would have let me get just a bit closer, such a shy little guy! He would be full-grown now, I bet he is a beauty! GSD's are some of the coolest dogs, I have been fortunate to have a few myself. Very smart, and so loyal!

I'll have to let you know if I ever run into him again, I'll snap a photo!!
I see. Yes, I agree, there are so many black and tans it seems a bit overrated. I am a big fan of just black GSD's as well!

It is a shame, but things happen for reason, always!
I will get another someday, they really are great dogs. So smart and loyal, you just can't beat that!

For sure, Dakota is very smart. She knows all the Obedience commands, just not heel and off leash heel. She is doing very good with it though!

I bet! You can tell that she is intelligent by her eyes alone, let alone the fact that she is German Shepherd. She will earn whatever you choose to teach her, as long as you are patient and persistent!

That's way cool. It is important, too, for GSD's. So many people do not understand when they get them that they are working dogs and need a job!

For sure, I know Dakota will be carrying a dog back pack when she is older. I am guessing that counts as a job xD

It certainly does! I know several GSD owners who do just that. But anything like the training you do with her is good. It is a shame when people allow these incredible dogs' intelligence go to waste! Agility is excellent as well

For sure, I see way to many big dogs taking the lead of their owners. Dakota is very smart puppy, and kind towards humans unless she senses I am nervous or they are scared. She'll bark at them, and she is unsocialized towards other dogs. We are working on that right now, Dakota is unsure around other dogs.
She is smart, but not socialized.

She is, sometimes she can be a bit rough but I manage to stop her. And it will take her time, I am not sure if she had a bad experience with other dogs. She will learn to be nice, until a threat is nearby.
My mom is thinking about getting her into protection training from where we bought her, we go there every Saturday for free training for one hour. It helped her out lots! I also train her at home, so she'll be very smart as she gets older
