Description
Pterodactyl: An extinct flying reptile; one of the Pterosauria.
Pterosaur fossils have been found on every continent except Antarctica. At least 60 genera have been found, ranging from the size of a small bird to creatures with wingspans in excess of 10 meters (33 feet).
Sadly these two large bird sized specimens are, most likely, only recently deceased seagulls. There were three or four more skeletons ingrained in the nearby sand.
