Wow. Such pixel. Much hand ache. XDI really love Smaug's design from the hobbit films, even though I imagine him a bit more snakelike than their design.
This is officiallyΒ both the largest pixel I have ever made and the one which took me the longest to finish. It's 850x700 pixels, and took 30+ hours to complete! I started it back in JANUARY and have only finished it today! But ImagineCorgis Β look, it is done!
It's got 10 shading layers, three lineart layers, two colouring layers and one final touch-ups layer.
It's also FREE TO USE for anything non-commercial like decorating your page or something! Just don't remove my signature and don't claim it as your own.

The amount of detail put into this is amazing - personally, I'd like to see more dramatic shadows and more dynamic colors (making the wings or belly stand out by shifting the color ramp away from red/orange... just a thought)
i know giant pixels are a pain in the ass to make, esp ones textured like this - you did a damn good job for something this big.
