Description
It was a dark, chilling night. A chihuahua named Paco and a dachshund named Paws were getting ready for Halloween. "...And there we go." Paws said, equipping a skeleton mask to his eerie skeleton costume. "Okay, Paco, I'm ready!.. Paco?" There was dead silence. Just a moment later, Paws heard a drilling noise. RRZZZZ! In fear, Paws quickly turned his back and then... "BOO!" Paws fell behind his back. "AAH!" Paws yelled. Then Paws realized it was just Paco in her costume. "You scared me!" Paws looked at the gruesome costume Paco was wearing. A shredded, bloody nurse gown with a surgical drill. "So, are you ready to go?" Asked Paco. "Ready when you are." Paws said.
They went out to go Trick or Treating. A chili breeze rushed through Paco and Paws' face. They walked over to their neighbor's house and rung the door bell. The door creaked open. "Trick or Treat!" They said. Their neighbor tossed them pup treats in their bags. The treats smelled of liver, which is their favorite! They went to the other houses, some not so decorated and some that looks like it was from a horror movie. Paco and Paws walked through the dreadful street, looking at all of their bag. "I got a lot of liver treats, some milk bones, and a BBQ flavored bone." Paws said. Paco looked through her bag. "I pretty much have the some treats as you, but instead of a BBQ bone, I got a Chicken flavored bone." Paco said. Paws thought for a moment. "Hey, there's a wealthy neighborhood just behind our's, I bet we can score there!" Paws said. "Good idea!"
They went to the wealthy neighborhood and already it smells of blood, rotting flesh and manure. "Eww, it smells bad in here!" Paco said, placing her paw over her nose. "I agree." Paws said. They rung the door bell and before they could say Trick or Treat, the person at the door gave a humongous bone to each of them. "Wow! I told you we would score big at this neighborhood!" Paws said. "Yeah!"
Paco and Paws were walking through the terrifying street of the neighborhood and the stench was getting worse. "Hey, Paco. Have you felt that someone was following us?" Paws asked. "Yeah, but it could literally be anyone." Paco said. As they were walking, they see a figure that looked like a wolf in down at the foggy street. "Hmm, that must be one of our friends." Paco said. "Yeah. Hi over there!.. Um, hello." The figure didn't answer. It came out of the fog and Paco and Paws were shocked what they saw. It looked like a zombie canine that had it's eye out of it's socket, deep gash wounds around it's body, and rotting flesh that drooped out of the canine. Paco and Paws ran as fast as they could, but it was too late. The canid monster pounced on them, giving them claw wounds and causing them to drop their candy. The canid monster took their candy and dashed away. Paco and Paws got up slowly. "You okay?" Paws said. "Yeah, I'm fine." Paco said, wiping blood off her forearm. "What was that!?" Paws said. "I don't know, but we need to trap it! I know a friend who can help us. Let's go!" They ran off back to their neighborhood.
They made it to their neighborhood. Almost everybody went to bed at this point of time. "My friend's name is Hope. She is wonderful at trapping animals!" Paco said. "...And where is Hope?" Paws said. "Just about a block away from us." They made there way to a 3rd story house with all of the lights off. "She's probably asleep, but we can't let that creature roam around that neighborhood." Paco said as she knocked on the door. The door opened and a shih tzu walked out the door. "Paco... It's like... 1:30 in the morning..." Hope said, tiredly. "Yeah, but we need your help capturing a creature that was roaming around the wealthy neighborhood behind us." Paco said. Hope sighed. "Alright, show me where it is, and I will get my stuff."
The pups made it back to the neighborhood, but the stench was gone. "Hmm, that's weird. It was foul smelling just an hour ago." Paws said. "Where was the last time you saw it?" Hope said. "It got our candy and dashed off, maybe to the woods." Paco said. Hope thought of a plan of how to trap the canid monster. "I know! It seems like the creature likes candy, and while you were getting attacked, you two dropped your candy and the monster took it and dashed off to the woods." "Wow, Hope. That was... completely what happened to us." Paco said. "Yes. I will set up my trap in the woods. Come with me!" Hope commanded.
They got to the woods and Hope set up a cage on top of a tree branch with a rope. "Okay, the trap is set up. you will hold the candy stash and look for the canid monster. Then when you find it, come straight here. It should follow you. Once you are here, Paco will let go of the rope and trap the monster." Hope said. They all got into position.
Paws roamed around the woods with the candy stash. He then smelled the stench of rotting flesh. "That must be it." Paws said. The canid monster crept through the trees. At this point, Paws started dashing to the trap. The canid monster was gaining up on him, slobber dribbling from it's mouth. Paws made it to the trap. "Paco, NOW!!!" Paws said. Paco released the rope and the cage fell right on the beastly creature. "...Something isn't right." Paco said. She slapped the face of the canine, and a mask fell off off the canine, which was an Alaskan Malamute. "Darn! I could of got all of your candy!" The Malamute said.
So, ever since the "Canid Monster" situation happened. Paco and Paws were always more cautious on Halloween night.
