But now everything is clear why she is upset and sad, because the next day, all the guys are preparing for graduation.All teenagers dress up for prom.Velma tries on her dress and her parents rejoice, but then Velma puts on her sweater. Freddy finishes tying his bow tie and Shaggy hides his tuxedo in the bushes outside the Rogers Mansion.At the Blake Mansion, Daphne looks at Freddy's photo and cries.Delilah Blake approaches her and begins to tell her stories. Daphne thanks Delilah.Delilah tells Daphne to call her if she needs it. Daphne thinks she meant Delilah and realizes that she must win Freddy away from Alice May before anything happens to him.

That's why she's worried.

Freddie comes out of his mansion with flowers.Alice May comes to him in a black limousine. Daphne confronts Freddy and tells him not to go to prom with Alice May. Freddy asks if Daphne thinks going to prom with a friend is better than going with a significant other. Daphne says yes. Freddie approaches Alice May and says that he will not go to prom with her and asks her not to be offended. Alice closes the door and leaves.
