Description This is a place to park your futuristic aerospace craft, small mecha, vehicles, and other whathaveyous.

Getting the materials set up will take some time for you. Unfortunately, Blender apparently doesn't believe in exporting things in any kind of logical order.

As it is, the model is really meant to be "shot" with quite a bit of it occupied. Otherwise, the modeling and texturing flaws stick out too much.

If you find this useful, please give me credit and let me see what you've made.

Lawsuits are expensive. Hazard striping is cheap.

Looks great!
How long have you been using this 3D program?

Thank you!

I have about 3 years of experience in Vue, and 2 years in Blender and Sketchup.

Nice! Lots of programmes there, is that your job or your hobby?

It's just a hobby right now. I've made some money from art, but not enough to recoup my investments in software.

This looks really cool man! I'm not too good with blender yet though, but maybe I will try something with it sometime. Thanks for making it available!

Thanks very much!

I highly recommend waiting for the next "full" release of Blender, which (I think) is due sometime this month. 2.5 is coming out of Beta, and it looks like they have made leaps and bounds with it.

That's great news! I've been working with 2.56 for a few days now and learning quite a bit. I love the interface compared with 2.49. I just hope they don't change it too much or I'll have to relearn a lot. The only problem with Blender is the app moves so fast that it takes time for the documentation to catch up. I'm going to stick with it though...it's a great program! BTW have you seen John Blains pdf guide. I've been reading it and it's helped me alot. There's also good video tut's there too.

I hadn't been turned on to the existence of John Blain's instructional materials. There's a lot out there, and it seems like something always gets lost in the shuffle.

I think that part of the reason I'm waiting for the official 2.5x release is so that I can work with features that are "really and truly" part of the official dev cycle. There are all kinds of cool bits and pieces being added to the different builds, but I don't want to get into using a branch that isn't going to be actively developed in the future. (Now, if something is an add-on, that's a different story altogether. )

Cheers!
