Mahsati Ganjavi (1098-1188) Azerbaijani poetess, first chess-player woman, the first notable prominent woman musician Manisa Khatun Mahsati Ganjavi was originated from Ganja and was highly esteemed at the court of Sultan Sanjar of the Seljuk dynasty. Mahsati Ganjavi commonly wrote rubai on Percian language. The love plot holds the main place in her creations. The rubais are marked out by their wordliness, humanism, epicurism and optimism.
