a wonderful piece! i love the sunburst! truley inspiring... although im not too keen on the city lights, i dont think from that far out they would be that bright or that distinguishable (sorry for spelling) i think it would be alot more blurred and dull.. but overal great textures! and brush work.. keep it up

What a freaking great piece! Down to almost everything. Ofcourse there is one thing I don't like. The bigger planet seems oblonged. And well, call me stereotypical or uneducated in astrology. But I like my planets round like a sphere damnit!
lol, good work.

The blue really is calming, the sun looks so bright, very realistic. I really like all the detail you put into the planets.

i was about to comment that the star field looked fuunnny... somehow, but then i realized the monitor, it had a lot of dust on it.
well done. the star field just needed some cleaning. it looks much better now - came out sweeeet. nice work man.

this piece is as you said...peaceful. i really like that it's blue, and simple, sometimes people make space scenes that just seem cluttered, i mean by the time you get a planet or 2, or 3 and some moons and a nebula, and a comet and some stars, and on and on...you get the picture, it seems like the only thing that got left out was the kitchen sink. sometimes simple is good, and in this case it's very good. awesome job

Great job on this! I can't figure out if the lighting on the second planet is correct in correlation to the other bodies, but I guess it doesn't matter. It's beautiful. My first +fav and +devstalk in a long time.

more like an optical illusion if you will.
or maybe they have independant orbits and in this shot they happen to be the closest, like it happened with Earth and Mars back in august.
However, from a realistic point of view, if one wanted to show two planets, one would have to be humongous and the other would have to be like a circle thats like 50 pixels in diameter.
