Serenity and Endymion's sons

Celomund is on the right, he is the eldest son- he is 33 in this drawing.

Elric is on the left, he is the second-born son- he is 21 in this drawing.

(Artemis, their sister, is 13 years younger than Celomund and 1 year younger than Elric)

(Ren and Rem, their twin brothers, are 20 years younger than Celomund and 8 years younger than Elric)

(Julian, their brother, is 27 years younger than Celomund and 15 years younger than Elric)

Celomund and Elric have a twelve-year age gap. Because Endymion was never a father figure towards Celomund, he decided to be one for Elric and Artemis.

Elric has an inferiority complex towards his older brother, Celomund can not seem to do anything wrong and he seems always make mistakes.

Celomund took over Serenity's Dukedom at the age of sixteen, becoming the Grand Duke; gaining the 'Grand' because he was the son of the crowned princess. He was only recognized by the royal court after he married Jean a year later.
Celomund took over his mother's duties further when Serenity decided to stop being the shadow queen when his twin brothers were born. Unlike with Elric, their father, Endymion, actually paid attention to them, so he behaved as a normal brother towards them.

Elric saw all this. He wondered why his father never helped raise him, he wondered why Celomund treated the twins kindly but acted more firmly with him.

Celomund and Jean were having issues with conceiving; so when Julian was born, Serenity gave her youngest son to them to raise. Celomund took this as a sign that his mother wanted Julian to be the true king and began planning to kill the puppet king that was currently getting fat on the throne.

In reality, Serenity wanted her main bloodline to continue on in the dukedom rather than the kingdom and just wanted Celomund and Jean to experience parenthood- her cousin, the current king, had four sons that easily be trained. Plus with the current upcoming battle with the Dark Overlord, Serenity could not care for her youngest as a mother should.

Elric had become an adventurer like his mother and father, and always trying to enter her party. Serenity loved sending time with any of her children and knew that her warrior son would be fine, Elric had been born with her 'Skills'; he was the only one of her children to do so; she had high hopes for him to become a 'Champion Hero'- something she had wanted to become, instead she had become a tank build, a 'Sheild Hero'.

Elric broke his mother's heart when he told her he wanted to become a magician and wanted his father to train him instead of her.

Endymion, seeing how this hurt his beloved wife, refused. But Serenity was quick to defend her son's choices and asked her husband to train their son.

Finally, Endymion agreed and gave Elric the harshest training known - the 'Six Point Challenge', in hopes that the youth would give up. Elric had inherited his mother's determination and endurance.

Elric's dedication and zeal for the craft earned Endymion's respect.

While Endymion still did not treat Elric as a son, he treated him like a student. And when he entered into Serenity and Endymion's party, their relationship improved.

Celomund still treated Elric as a son rather than a brother, something that was no longer lost on Serenity.

Asking her husband if that was alright, he replied that he never treated Elric as a son so did not deserve anything from him.

Serenity was getting into a lot of issues since she still took her twin sons everything, this included end-game quests. Elric and others of his rank were claiming this was not fair and that they did not have to go through any training. To which Serenity said this was their training. The 'Berserker Training' that Serenity had completed and was allowed to give others. She said that if the Overlord had come sooner, she would have given Elric and others the same training.

Celomund had to step in. Serenity had given up her title, so her eldest son had the highest rank. She had no choice but to listen to her Grand Duke.

Ren and Rem would stay with Celomund and only go on one lower quest with Serenity.

Serenity asked all her children to eat together once every eight days, and once a year every family member had to come together. She did not want her large family to part ways now that there becoming adults. Something that they kept up in the future.

Here the brothers are enjoying their weekly get-together, doing mock quests their mother had set up for them to play.

Celomund is commenting to Elric about how Artemis, Jean and their mother were playing with Elric's favourite lover, Leofguth. Celomund was saying how well Leofguth was fiting in with the family and he should marry her.

Elric did not want to say it out loud but he wanted to ask Leofguth's hand in marriage too. But with how Leofguth always fangirled over the Hero Serenity, he decided to wait until the novelty of becoming her student wore off.

Serenity loved Leofguth. She was a little disappointed that the half-elf became a knight rather than a magician since her 'Skills' were aimed that way.

Serenity wanted Elric and Leofguth, wanting to see just how powerful their own children would be because this pairing there both rare. And Serenity being a Potion Master as a sub-skill, gave them both potions to help that along- without their knowledge.

Serenity never got to see her granddaughter, Serenity II, being born to Elric and Leofguth. A year after this get-together, Serenity died on what was thought to be a simple quest.

Celumund devoted himself to raising Julian as King, the last mission his mother gave him; when Julian was 13, the Grand Duke lead a coup, overpowering the king who had taken Serenity's passing as a sign to take back the kingdom and undoing all of Serenity's hard work to make their Kingdom live through the Dark Overlord's distance attacks.

Elric quickly rose up in the ranks as an adventurer, becoming a 'Sage Hero'. Leofguth became a 'Knight Hero' with her daughter, Serenity II, on her back. Much like Serenity did with her twin sons.
