Description
Paleontology is my main hobby and I love prehistoric creatures; but among them pterosaurs are the ones that fascinate me the most.
I've made this sketch as an homage to my personal favourite (and overall most famous) pterosaur: Pteranodon.
The main reason I've drawn him walking (instead of soaring) was to incorporate a little bit of speculation in the way the wings fold up. As you can see the joint between first and second phalanges of the wing-supporting finger bend slightly outward in order to completely fold the wing agains the lower arm.
I was inspired by fossils that actually do showcase this method of folding.

The sketch was made on paper with a pencil, then scanned into my computer and enhanced through Paint.net.
