Description (woman to pig transformation)

“Honey…”
“What, pumpkin?”
“I… I think something’s wrong…”
“What is… oh, my God!”
“What is happening to my face?  My nose feels huge!”
“It’s a snout!  And your ears are big, too!  And your… your…”
“Honey… what is happening to me?”
“You… you’re turning into a pig!  Just like the people in the movie!”
“I started to feel queasy as soon as the witch started talking…  How is this possible?”
“I don’t know, but if we don’t figure it out quick, you’re going to turn into a sow!”

So why is she turning into a pig?
Did she do something wrong? Is she being punished for something? :\

I think that it may be open to interpretation, but my best guess is that she just got too much into the movie...
If she is lucky they are watching Willow and the people gets changed back... and if she isn't lucky... well...

How does one change from just watching a movie?! :\

Probably is something similar to the placebo effect combined with the suspension of disbelief.

A full on transformation into a pig-human hybrid from a placebo?!
That's physically impossible!

Realism is boring and depressing and specially boring.
What you want in a concept or story is internal plausibility and in a TF tale a lady becoming a sow because she got "too much into the movie" is very plausible.
The technicalities of how the TF happens tend to matter less than the potential amusment of the concept, the strugglin action of the change or the characters.
And I think this piece is clearly based in the amusment of the concept more than anything else... XP

You know, you could've said the magic was directed at only women.

What do you considere realism?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DannyAndYoko In reply to SenorIncognito69 [2017-08-24 07:52:16 +0000 UTC]

Things that are realistically possible? XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SenorIncognito69 In reply to DannyAndYoko [2017-08-25 00:49:45 +0000 UTC]

Well, in a TF tale... and in like 90% of all fiction, you aren't going to find things like that.
You will find plausible things, stories have to be consistent with rules of their "inner reality", not our external one.
Even most of the "based on a true story" stories tend to omit the real events for the sake of the plot.

DannyAndYoko In reply to SenorIncognito69 [2017-08-25 08:13:16 +0000 UTC]

TF stories can also be 100% plausible to be happening in real life, if not real life in a few 100 years.

But that's the world, nO? Plausible isn't the same that realistic, some of the stories in my gallery have plausible explanations for the changes, but that doesn't means that they are realistic.

There is a difference between plausible realistic and plausible fantasy.

DannyAndYoko In reply to SenorIncognito69 [2017-08-27 10:10:23 +0000 UTC]

I thought it would be obvious I meant if you assume magic is real, a magic plausible fantasy could be kinda realistic too.
For example offcourse, the same is also true (or actually even MORE true) for advanced technology (or drugs/medicine/genetic engineering) yet undiscovered in the real world.

SenorIncognito69 In reply to DannyAndYoko [2017-08-27 17:25:09 +0000 UTC]

Assuming things doesn't makes them more realistic, what are you talking about is the suspension of disbelief.
If you could accept, I don't know, a dragon? in another story, why you can't accept that in this pic the transformation was trigger why a placebo effect?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DannyAndYoko In reply to SenorIncognito69 [2017-08-27 23:38:39 +0000 UTC]

Well it IS still fantasy.

Things tend to happen without a reason, that's how the world works.
Chaos is Lord and Lady! MUAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA!

Also there's a reason, she got too much into the plot of the movie... XP

Everything happens for a reason...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SenorIncognito69 In reply to DannyAndYoko [2017-09-01 17:15:43 +0000 UTC]

I disagree.
Also, having a "cause" isn't the same as having a "reason", lightning strikes because that's how nature works, not because there's a reason.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DannyAndYoko In reply to SenorIncognito69 [2017-09-01 17:35:09 +0000 UTC]

Lightning strikes because it looks for the quickest and easiest route to the ground.
That's why high towers are hit sooner as it travel easier through the tower (especially with lightning rod) then the air.

SenorIncognito69 In reply to DannyAndYoko [2017-09-01 17:49:15 +0000 UTC]

That's a cause, but there's no more reason behind than the infinite and beautiful dance of the chaos and the void...:!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SenorIncognito69 In reply to DannyAndYoko [2017-09-01 20:04:01 +0000 UTC]

Nop, just a cause, a reason would imply intent, there's no intent in nature.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DannyAndYoko In reply to SenorIncognito69 [2017-09-01 21:00:36 +0000 UTC]

The reason allows for life as we know it ^^

If you are going to use the god card... and I hope no... if gods exist they clearly don't want anything to be alive and are clearly annoyed for the things that insist in keep living despite their several shameful whimpers.

SenorIncognito69 In reply to DannyAndYoko [2017-09-06 23:44:05 +0000 UTC]

Well, you can't prove any great purpose behind nature, but I can prove without doubt that chaos exists.
So you are probably wrong.
