(woman to pig transformation)“Hey, Piggy-pig-pig-piggy-pig.”
Slowly, the piggirl turns around. There they are again. Two guys that had been harassing her lately - demeaning catcalls and insults, and that sort of thing. But today, they seem more aggressive. Not that such hostility is unknown – ever since she started transforming into a pig, she’s felt like the world is turning against her. Even family and friends. She glances around, suddenly aware of how alone she is.
“Lose your way from your sty, pig?”
She swallows, her throat feeling dry, in contrast to the light rain beginning to fall. Her tail twitches. Something inside her is telling her to run. That today is different, somehow. And whether it is intuition or instinct, the poor piggirl is inclined to listen.
“Damn pig. Not fit to be around normal people. Spreading your filth and disease!”
She hears a clicking sound. A knife? She’s not going to wait to find out. She bursts into a sprint, fear powering her legs as she races for the relative safety of a public place.
She knows what they are. They're predators. And she is not willing to be prey.

So what do you imagine the transformation is? Is it a disease? And I take it their treated as second class citizens?

I imagine that, for a while at least, people wouldn't know for sure how it spread, and that would make unaffected people more scared of it. Like people reacted in the early days of the HIV virus, maybe. And yes, you're right - as much as I like pig people and fetishize the concept, I imagine if there really were half animal people around, they would face a tremendous amount of prejudice.
