"Kazakhstan's flag is light blue, symbolising both the blue skies of the country and its hopes for the future. Depicted on the flag is a stylised berkut (the native eagle of the Steppes) beneath a golden sun from which emnates 32 rays, which together symbolise the Kazakh people's freedom.
