Description I really need to finish my commissions! Anyways, I really been itching to draw more Tokyo Ghoul. My mental health is getting in the way, sadly.. but here I am with my very first digital watercolor piece!     I'm extremely proud of this piece and I honestly couldn't have done it any better. I know it's a little sloppy, but there's where I was going for.

Anyways, this picture has a lot of meaning to it. I wanted to draw something beautiful, dramatic, and raw to describe Kaneki's traumatic journey through seasons 1 and 2 in a.. almost subtle way?? Each flower has its own meaning and I'll also explain why I chose them.

White roses resemble innocence. Kaneki was a very innocent guy before entering the life of a Ghoul, which is why i chose this. I also made him cry blood to show how gruesome his journey is and to show how the life of a Ghoul has tainted his innocence. However, not all roses are bloodied because obviously kaneki still has good in him.

The Anemone resembles protection from evil and it relates to Kaneki because he was trying to protect his loved ones and I just hope he's safe. It's my lil prayer for him.

White Chrysanthemum resemble faith, loyalty, and love which we all know Kaneki has.

Daffodils resemble rebirth and we all witnessed how at the end of season 1 that Kaneki has changed who he was to adapt to his new life.

Gladioluses resemble strength and integrity, which Kaneki has.

And dead leaves mean death or anguish, which took part a lot in kaneki's new life.

I do not own Tokyo Ghoul or its characters, they belong to Sui Ishida. I simply draw fanart and nothing more! Tokyo Ghoul's manga is published by Shueisha and it's English publisher is Viz Media. Its anime was published by Pierrot. Again, I own nothing but my fanart.
