OK. I have to say, as a man with some interest in sci-fi, warefar in general and naval combat particularly, the film itself was a total nonsense (or even worse). However, some scenes really were epic, and this is one of them.

well this scene where John Paul Jones kick the third alien ship is one of best in whole dam movie, with exceptions of Missiouri rolling into position and firing all her guns on flagship

Just got home from watching the movie. I totally recommend it! It was really awesome if I might say so, but would like more action between the human and alien, hands-to-hands combat. Took your typical alien invasion genre to a whole new level.
