Description oh.
didn't know i could still reload 3 times that quick anymore, huh?
for shame! for shame!
i'm getting a little older, i'm not dead!
heh.
and don't go rolling those eyes at me the way you do every time i decide to do
a little maniping. pft.
this old dog can still be learnt a new trick or two!
and before HE says it,...
yes ka-os,...i can turn a trick or two as well. *yawn* now go play in the street or something!

ok, about this submission,...something i decided to do for the musicians club .
j. c. crutchfield was a very gifted man from my home town. a wonderful photographer and
musician. he even made his own instruments. i happened to discover him through my very
dear friend cass, whom i share a cubicle wall with as well. THANK YOU CASS!!! heh.
i hope to share some more of mr. crutchfield with you by way of some drawings i have
planned of some of his work in the near future.
he's the young gentleman standing to the far left of this photo by the way.

now about the particulars of the piece.
the name of the photographer who took this photo is unknown. sorry about that. it really is
a nice photo. i love it.
the old silvertone mandolin used in the manip is mine.
the background texture was something i created with one of my haunted textures
(by the way, have you been to photoBreed to nab some of my textures yet? have you???)
and some of my music manuscript.
lifted the border design from Mucha. (sorry alphonse, bro.)
also used a smidgen of my main man neosynthetic's special itchy-scratchy texture.

thanks guys for checking my junk out.
i'll give you all a breather now. heh.

but, it's still happening, it'll never e[n]d!
stay tuned
even MORE to come.

Absolutely loving the coloring and the texture. The rusty colors give it a great feel, and I love all the movement.

Very nice. I like the composition. The different images flow into each other well without any of them being overpowering. There's also plenty of detail so you pick up something new each time you come back to it. Great stuff!

Amazing work! The textures and the old looking effects are very well done. This is indeed a very good composition. I love it.

Pretty nice.. the color scheme and textures are simply amazing but the picture would need some binding element - now it's, in my opinion, too strongly divided into upper and lower part. I think the cause of the problem is the upper photo that is so large and block shaped.

I have to agree with most of the other commenters, though. The incredible mood and textures make me almost forget everything else

I love how layered this is... looks kind of like a postcard or something, but in a good way. I especially like the repetition of the portrait in the lower right, and the music sheets in the background. So much rich color and texture... really makes the peace.

Well, you've done it again Mr. dholms. This is outstanding. I love the border you say you swiped from Mucha. I'm sure he won't mind. As someone earlier said, it has a ghostly feel to it that I like very much. I don't know if the window in the background is part of the original picture or not but I like it. The texture is fantastic. And the music ties it all together perfectly. It really is beautiful....haunting.

The swirly text/brush thing on the bottom works well.. nice.
I actually had ambition to do a manip yesterday but had no creativity.. I think I may have lost my skill since I'm really into photograpght right now *ahhh*

Sweet design bro. I like the old feel, despite the manipping and textures and stuff

Nice description too. I don't think I'd like that kind of music, but it does have a certain degree of elegance about it.

Awesome work
