Description
Moving from Swords & Shields, I felt like it'd be fun to do a piece on the boy, the legend, Cthulhu. I've had a particular way of drawing his head, so I wanted to sit down and deign out the rest of him in a really gnarly and twisted way. Got the idea to have a his flesh be very bloated and saggy, while countless eyes shine through the pockets like stars peeking through clouds. Also instead of giving him a a muscular body which sometimes happens when drawing him, I decided to extend his tentacles all the way throughout his body, including his wings, almost as though his entire lower half becomes an infinite mass of writhing tentacles. Had to employ a lot of different techniques to really get the scale I wanted, and I'm super pleased with how it turned out color wise. Just overall had a blast drawing this out, and I hope you guys enjoy.
