Description Well recently did some pieces and I was really inspired by the colouring method. I mentioned this and Shazy kindly uploaded a step-by-step on Tumblr on how to do this type of colouring. I wanted to give it a shot and I knew the quickest way to make one of these would be to use one of my ghost OCs (so much time is saved when you don't have to draw clothing XD). Anyways, I was originally going to draw Ryu for a certain fangirl. I'm looking at you XD, but then I realized that there isn't any real good reference for Leo's hair in a fron tview (despite this pic being slightly on a 3/4 view). I hope this gives a better idea about the shape of his hair.

At any rate, this was the result and I definitely liked trying the sort of "pop art" kind of style applied here. For once, I actually kept track of the reference for the texture I used and it can be found here: [link]

Anyways enjoy! I'll be off studying for a midterm in Evolution now...

Oh and the title is sort of a pun on Shazy's name since Shazy's tutorial led to a snazzy pic. XD

Oh haha, well thank you very much! Haha, I'm glad you asked. You'd be surprised how often I get that question. Well, it all started a couple of Halloweens ago and I think I made a poll about which sort of Halloween character people liked the most. Ghosts won and thus a piece was made of a ghost, who eventually became Vincent. XD [link] After that all the ghosts that I created were created so he's have characters to interact with if I ever made a comic (which I'd really lie to, but I just don't have an idea for an overarching story XD). Thanks for the question.

Aw, thank you very much! You were a major inspiration for this, I tried to follow that process very closely. XD Thanks so much for some of the effect tips! I feel like I was able to make it seem like it was from an anime, at least more than usual. LOL

I guess one thing I did wonder is what you did to get the colour halftone the way it ended up looking. Was there any setting you used or did you just play around with the colour halftone until you got what you wanted?

Yeah if you change the numbers in the colour halftone settings. Also i think i changed the layer style of that layer to get it how i wanted in the picture. layer styles save me so many times

Wow! The colors in this and those effects are fantastic! Kudos for trying something new and interesting. Good luck on those midterms! I also really love that blue-ish outline rather than just a sharp black lines.

Haha thanks man! Yeah, it's always fun and great to try out new things, epsecially in art. I thought Shazzy's colouring style turned out really anime realistic, so I wanted to give it a try for myself. Haha thanks, I really hope it goes well. LOL Everyone seems to like it when I use non-black inking. XD Maybe I should do it more often? At any rate, shazzy's tutorial called for using a non-black lining so I fooled around with the suggested colour and some colours that I liked and this blue was the result. XD

So many of your fans seem to love Vincent the most, but in all honesty, I like Leo the most from your ghost gang!

Haha, yeah, I guess Vincent steals the show since he was my first OC afterall. XD Personally, Vincent is my favourite out of all the OCs for that reason, but when it comes to the other ghosts, Leo is definitely my favourite. I'm happy Leo has at least one fan where he's ranked first. XD

Thank you. Haha yeah, Shazzy's tutorial showed how to really make things "colourful". XD I thought it would be an interesting colouring style to colour him in.
