From left to right:
[u]Annabelle[/u] Shown in the comic. The pendant holds the shards of the stone that she used to evolve.
[u]Amelia[/u] She was rescued by August with an injured wing. She is trained for search-and-rescue along with Annabelle.
[u]August[/u] His first partner was Annabelle. He does not believe in containing his friends in Pokeballs, and thus lets them dwell without them. He makes a habit out of sticking his nose where it doesn't belong in order to help others.
[u]James[/u] Not rescued, but adopted. A veteran trainer gave James to him after August proved that he cared for them beyond just battling partners.
