Artemis-Goddess of the hunt and the moon.Ah cold and pure Artemis... personally one of my favorite Goddesses and figures in the pantheon of Greek deities. Artemis asked Zeus if she could remain a wild and free maiden, hunting in the woods. And he, of course, said yes XD He gave her lop-eared hounds and a fleet of nymphs to hunt with her when the moon was full, shimmering off the grassy hills. Being the amazing huntress she was, she captured and tied four golden horned hinds to her silver chariot. After a wild hunt, the Goddess liked to bathe with her nymphs... that's when the fun starts >D God bless the Greeks... Actaeon, a simple hunter... with incredibly bad timing, happened upon Artemis while she was bathing one night... well, no human, especially a man, was allowed to see Artemis naked. So she turned him into a stag and basically let his own dogs rip him to shreds... nice eh? XD There was a prayer for mothers to Artemis but honestly, I bet it fell on deaf ears... as she was a chaste Goddess with no intention of having a family or so it would seem.
I went with a cool, silver, blue theme, since Artemis was Goddess of the moon and hunt. I mostly see her with drab browns and greens in drawings and paintings... well, I don't think she would have been drab lol I hope you all like it XD I am not sure who to do next but I am kinda leaning toward Cronus for some reason >.>'

She came out beautifully. I agree that pale blues and silvers seem to fit a moon goddess better than greens and browns. Looking forward to seeing more in this series.

it was even worse what happened to her best friend Orion, her brother Apollo was worried about her falling in love with Orion, thus losing her chastity she promised Zeus and he tricked her into shooting her best friend in the head while he was bathing.XDDDD
since Apollo was also a medicinal god, he had a son who could ressurect people,and she begged him to revive him, but Zeus forbid it. (since tampering with life and death was reserved for gods only...XDDD) So he placed Orion to the skies as a constellation.
Also,she is one of my favourite goddesses, and i dont find her bitchy at all. Greeks described her as a goddess of a transition when a child becomes mature. so i see her more as a playfull childlish goddes who cant control her power, and thus.. accidents happen XDDD

Great rendition of Artemis - love your spin on that ice-cold bitch. Great photoshopping too, and although there are a few "awkward" moments (say, the tree's swirls getting downright artificial at the dark points and the deer's horned seemingly attached to it with glue tack) on the whole, you've done an awesome job.

Actually I didn't see anything while researching about hair color... mostly she is depicted with red, blond or brown hair... I went with blond so it looked cold XD

I have that book of Greek myths made by that old couple and it says she has hair as "black as night" or something along those lines. I've heard of Hecate, but like you said, other than her being uber powerful (in some myths) there's not much known about her. In DC Comics, she was Hades first wife till he left her for Persephone. Spekaing of Hades, other than kidnapping his wife, he really hasn't done anything bad. have you noticed that? Yet almost everytime you see him, he's the badguy.
Cronus is always fun. Gonna do one of him where he's eating one of his kids and thinking to himself "Needs salt"?

Yeah, I have been researching Hecate actually. She is, supposedly, a Chthonic Goddess assoiated with crossroads, dogs and sometimes magic... though the magic thing came WAY later so I am assuming that it was added by Romans >.> Not much about her actually, very mysterious but then thats how schollars described her. Being both there and not there and some times appearing with three heads or three bodies like the Morigan in celtic myth.Being that she is so mysterious... I think I will have to give it a go XD

A lot of the stuff I've found is that she's been around in most God Pantheons, and even the gods like Zeus or Jupiter don't want to mess with her.
There's a great story I read about her and Apollo, where their love affair was so intense and destructive that they were forced apart (the ONLY time Zeus stepped in to interfere, he is usually more respectful). Their love literally was destroying the world. Apollo gave her the moon as a gift . . . thus where the saying comes from
