Description
Most nights because of my sleeping problems, I put a movie on my laptop, volume so low I can just barely hear it, and fall asleep with it on right next to me because it clears my mind of all random pushy awake-keeping thoughts.
Usually its either Megamind or Treasure Planet, but last night I put on How To Train Your Dragon, which turned out to be a bad idea because it made me think of dragon rider Ash. So I had to grab my sketchbook, find my glasses and flashlight, and draw the left sketch out so I wouldnt forget. It got a bit more... detailed than I planned on, thus keeping me awake for much longer, and then I turned off the movie so I wouldnt keep getting ideas which then led to horrible waking me up all the time dreams.
I think ill stick to my 2 main movies.

Anyways, so the left side is the 4-5am sketch in the dark, and the right is the one I just finished. With Ash being a princess/queen and all, she needed to still look kinda fancy-ish but things needed to be workable for riding. Not that im an expert with those things, I just thought this would work~ And i made the heavy layered skirts and warm coat because flying up high can get pretty cold (she should prolly have a hat...) and the climate for her kingdom isnt usually the warmest, so warm clothes it is! yay!

Im trying to learn how to draw dragons again, so maybe ill be able to draw her actually riding one next time haha
