Description
Last year I found a dead hornet in the shed and recently I decided to draw it. I used a magnifying glass, trying to cover most details. These wasps are spotted more and more in Friesland and they are quite impressive, even more from closeby. Insects are quite easy to draw, because their body almost looks like it consists of machine parts. Their colours on the other hand are very hard to capture. I am not very pleased about the background.
