Description
This handsome fellow seems at peace with the world. I got a few other frog shots (down at my favorite pond), but had to call it quits early. Some school kids were making a racket and scared the frogs away.Related content

Thank you! I love taking pictures of frogs...they are such wonderful critters. I discovered a pond near where I live where frogs are encouraged to take up residence. They have flourished there, and photographers like me have a ball trying to catch a glimpse of one!

I just like frogs... have since I was in middle school back in the day. Collected them (not real ones) for a while. Even had two as pets but the both died not long after I bought the second one leaving me to think it was a viral infection the one had or something. Decided they are better in their own habitat than in an aquarium in mine.
It really is a great shot.

Thanks. Frogs are very sensitive to environmental changes, so it's probably hard to raise them in captivity.

I love frogs.. I have kept them as pets for many years.. Mom doesnt' loke them ,so I only have my cats now.. Also there woudl be nowhere to get the food for them.. The animal rights activests shut down the pet shop here in town.. Why don't those idiots mind their own business..

Frogs are cute, but I'll bet they are hard to raise...they like living things to eat. Cats are good pets, though, and they are much easier to feed, eh?

Thank you! There weren't as many frogs as I had hoped, and the kids made the few that I saw disappear. I did, however, see lots of tadpoles, so I'll definitely go back there to take more pix.

THat's what he was doing! While I was there watching the pond, I saw one frog snap up a small dragonfly and a black bird snap up a small frog. I actually got the latter on camera, but the image is a bit blurry. It really is a jungle out there.
