The skulls are to the blind menacing but Anubis himself was a God, a being of worth to have rule over death and the underworld; truly the sculpture depicted is one of security, hope.

Anubis is one of my favourite Egyptian gods. You're bringing back a lot of memories. I was very into Egyptian mythology when I was six and I still love it.
