This could of used a couple more hours of polishing but okay, hear me out tho,So I really like the Knuckles comics primarily for how many characters it gives me to play with and I've always found their ideas to be really fun to mess with. Specifically, Aurora and the Ancient Walkers. Now, with a name like Ancient Walker I imagined a creature that's like BIG and SCARY and ENCHANTING yknow, but in the comics, to me at least, they kinda look like cute little non-threatening plushies haha. With little masks on. Like look at them, they're adorable. Or am I just weird?
So I really wanted to put my own spin on their design where they look imposing and otherworldly. To really give them that ancient and mystical presence. So I got this crazy idea, to take one of them at a time and put my own little spin on them. Like, if I were to have a this character be put into my own narrative what would I make them look like.
...and then it got really fun so I got carried away lmao

This looks really cool and epic. Love the glowy things. I'm never sure even in canon material what they're supposed to be (tattoos, body paint, jewelry?), but they sure look cool and you get them down really good here. Like, this could pass for concept art.
The stars are a nice touch, too, add well to the otherworldliness. I like how connected the characters look, too. Like this is some magical bond or understanding they share.

It really makes me happy when people can tear into and spot the narrative behind the picture itself, like your response made my day.
I intended for them to be more like tattoos that show up on Knuckles body upon contact with these Ancient beings hence why his normal crescent tattoo mark is just white compared to the rest of them.
My idea that I'm playing with right now is to make every photo a different color cause there's 3 of them, and portray them as celestial type beings who are made up of the same energy that Knuckles is, only grander.
