Description
These two photos were taken at separate times obviously but they both showed the beast in the boys, I thought. I'm not sure if the juxtaposition works because of the difference in setting/environment, but at the same time I'm compelled to pair them because of the similarity in posture and mood. We forget that we are still so feral, really, beneath all of our clothing and activity. We're still driven by instinct and emotion so often. I've found that my son and the other children I know remind me of that ... in both its positive and negative manifestations. Children are wild. Sometimes, it's frightening, sometimes, it's funny and endearing, but mostly it's just stunning and humbling to observe.
