Do you plan on making profiles for these creatures like the Monolith?

that's a lot of work, for which you deserve to be commended. bravo!!
The Cliff Flappers appear to be a bit of a visual homage(?) to Dr Seuss.
I don't have any other questions right now...need to contemplate this a bit.

For the record, I FUCKING LOVE FENTIL. Now that that's out of the way, I adore the forkheads. At first I thought they were an insect-analogue until I finally read the text (silly me!)

Why thank you.
I never thought people would ever be this enthusiastic about Fentil.
Yeah they're far from insect like, they're massive beasties. Though there are some small ones, too, like that one that walks on its 4 back legs and uses its front legs to cut and pull open egg cases and pupae.

during 8th grade, there was an assignment that i had to create a fictional world, along with several "naitive" wildlife and people; sadly i got a failing grade for it cause my mind went blank. but i was wondering, how on earth did you come up with Fentil?

Aw man, I wish I got to do that at school.
Well, I've been working on Fentil for about a year now, and it's only just been coming together in the last few months.
I've had inspiration from other alien world projects, such as Snaiad and Wayne Barlowe's 'Expedition' and I just wanted to make my own.
Admittedly, it started off just taking similar ideas from other projects and putting them in my own creatures, but since I started, the whole project has 'evolved' (no pun intended) and feels a lot more original, and most of the old creatures have been re-designed as the project came together.
I guess it's about finding your own style and way of designing creatures, and soon your world will have its own look.
My best advice is to start with the actual planet first, try and make it somehow unique and with some additional challenge to life, the more hurdles you put in their way, the more tangible the creatures will seem in order to adapt to them.
Hope that helps
