I drew 21 characters. 21. Because it's commemorative. So. Are you ready for some tl;dr? Characters above are as follows:
1&2 - Yoh Asakura and Anna Kyouyama
First OTP ever. See: volumes 19 and 20 of Shaman King. The series wore me out with all the ridiculously LONG battles (eh, shonen manga) but I always come back to reading it because I think Hiroyuki Takei is amazing when it comes to character moments.
3&4 - Kazuma "Kazu" Mikura and Ringo Noyamano
Air Gear representatives! I don't do ecchi (avoid it most of the time) but Oh!Great has my respect with the character art (and the backgrounds, if he does them himself). Ringo was my first female favorite, so here she is in the outfit she wore in her first appearance as a member of Sleeping Forest. And Kazu is there because... because he made beanies awesome.
5-9 - Machi Kuragi, Yuki Souma, Kakeru Manabe, Kimi Toudou, Naohito Sakuragi
AKA THE STUDENT DEFENSE FORCE SHYEAH! I hardly ever do any fanart of Fruits Basket so I thought I ought to do some of this most horribly under-appreciated bunch. They're one of the many reasons I love this series. And Kakeru is in the center because he's a bit of a spotlight-hogger. (sorry, Yun-yun)
10 - Shikamaru Nara
I haven't actually seen/read Naruto yet (will be remedied), but I've seen bits of the anime. The Shikamaru vs. Temari battle during the Chunin exams made a big impression on me. Lazy ninja genius kicks some crazy ass.
11-13 - Black Star, Maka Albarn, Soul Eater Evans
Yeah, my Soul Eater top three. <3 The storyline is picking up again, and for that I am happy. One of the things I like about Ookubo is his creative (crazy) paneling. The latest chapters do not disappoint.
14&15 - Lavi and Lenalee Lee
Before Soul Eater, there was D.Gray-man. This series got me back into drawing again after a really long (and painful) artblock. I kind of ship these two. Like that's surprising.
16&17 - Koki Kariya & Uzuki Yashiro
Fandom, you should show these two more love, seriously. I really like drawing them; their poses always get kinda wacky. I demand a Reaper-centric sequel. Please?
18-20 - Kanji Tatsumi, Ai Ebihara, and Naoki Konishi
Persona 4 representatives! Gotta show the other characters some love, right? I like picturing these three together. The label "delinquents" always comes to mind. Also, it's Kanjay, baby~
21 - ....
July 14, 3AM. A storm caused the suspension of classes later in the day, but at that early hour it flooded three of the rooms at our place. Armed with a sponge squeegee and an ipod set to Ram Jam's Black Betty , I did my part by mopping up the waterlogged carpets of my parents' room till about 5AM.
Nice way of starting the last day of my 20th year of existence.

I wonder how sad it is that I was able to name off almost all of these characters before I even read the artist's comment. Probably very very pathetic. And awesome.
Despite being just a sketch I really love the fluidity of these~ Also YEY FOR SCHOOL DEFENSE FORCE! And I agree with you on the part of Air Gear. I read some of it because the art and movement of the characters is beautiful (and even the storyline is pretty good) but I was only able to last for so long. =u="

My love for the Student Defense Force knows now bounds which is why it baffles me that I don't draw them too often. And Air Gear. Yes. The storyline was interesting at the beginning but got progressively... idk, fantastical? Strange? For me anyway. Couldn't get into it. But I still do like Oh! great's art style.

Because we're awesome, i totally love all of them except Naruto. I just lost interest in Naruto after a while. It was the constant talking during scenes where people should be losing various limbs...

Haha, I know what you mean. I barely started the first season and already I'm slacking off on watching it. TBH I'm...kinda just watching because I have a *cough* ship I support. And I need some canon in me for the plot bunnies to feed on.

About the 500+... I think the Naruto anime is at 200+ right now, was just saying that if it breached 500, it would KILL me to have to watch that many episodes. Sadly, I'm the type of person who has to finish something I've started.
Shikamaru is AWESOME! (and Kakashi is okay, I guess? I haven't seen enough of him to warrant any real judgement)
It's a guilty pleasure, ahahaha. Not many people out there ship it so the fanfiction is scarce. orz How about you? Got any crack ships?

Haha! I'm not much of a crack ship person, I'm more of a crack ship stalker, I find ones that others like that I like the sound of and then laugh because they're mad! Fanfiction is my guilty pleasure, I'm not crazy about it but it's nice when you find a really really well written one.

Congratulations on making it into your second decade! It's a fun age...and don't believe the hype that the best years are behind you - there's definitely so much more fun ahead!
Not to critique such a fun piece, but I love the solid blacks here throughout; they add a real sense of depth to the characters where they occur, most notably where it's done in a complete fill, as in 2, 4, 14, and 15. And, the "curious" and "naughty/nasty" expressions really pop, too - 2, 8, 12, 15, and 19!

Nah, it's fine~ I really had the solid blacks thing in mind when I first started this. I wanted a b&w/manga-w/o-tones kind of look....but then I started running out of time towards the end. (you'll notice that everything gets sketchier the lower you go XD)
