Description

Even though the differences are minor, I think it's kind of instructive. When I did the first render of Gwen , I hadn't even done the text and interactions for this particular area of the game yet. I knew the character would be there and what she'd look like, and I knew what kind of room she'd be sitting in--that was all.

Having now written all that, I realized that Gwen needed to be facing the viewer for a better match with the text descriptions. And snce I'd have to re-render for the new pose anyway, I could use the opportunity to zoom in a little more. It wasn't really necessary to show a corner of the shelves or the shirt hanging from it, and in general the more I can close in on faces, the better the result looks. Faces are what Daz does best, and the amount of detail that's added by having faces automatically run at a higher density is lost in most of my medium-zoom images. Also, when I began, I was a little more nervous about cropping out parts of clothing, whereas here I'm willing to cut off some of the headpiece if it means we can get a little closer to the face. Which, by the by, looks much better from this angle. Gwen's 3/4 profile is not super attractive. (I could have gotten even closer, but I didn't want to cut off the kicked-out legs, for reasons.)

I also didn't like the positioning on the stool--she's definitely on the stool in the first image but for some reason it looks like she's hovering in front of it. The arrangement in this one, with her arm on the back, makes it much clearer.

And, since I'm zoomed in enough that the shelves and their props aren't needed, I was able to delete them from this version of the scene to save memory, which is always nice. I also removed the arm and leg feathers which she wasn't really wearing, because the description says she hasn't put them on yet and there's no reason for them to be in the scene.
