Actually I didn't do that much to it. When you take pics of moving water (waterfalls are excellent for this purpose) and you use slow shutter times (like 1/4 sec), you get to see the way the water flows. With a Photoshop filter I enhanced this effect a little, but basically it came right out of the camera. All you need to do is use a slow shutter time (and use the aperture to make sure the pic doesn't get overexposed).

The image is pretty real. I did some minor corrections concerning contrast, colors etc (nothing fancy or special, just the regular corrections to make RAW images look like they should). The only edit (besides the bordering) I did is adding a diffuse glow to the water and the sky, making them come out stronger. That's indeed not real, but more like we're used to from cheap paintings.

I'm not sure what exactly - my eye just does not believe it - for one the splash back from the waterfall seems virtually non exisitent.

No, even the rock doesn't belong there. I took this pic at the Disney park in Paris. They placed a huge rock there (it's partially rock and partially concrete) and made those waterfalls in it. Looks pretty real though.

I took this picture at the Disnery resort in Paris. Yes, that is a theme park. Of course, I slightly edited the picture to make it look more the way I wanted it to.

Ja, deze is wel bewerkt ja. Niet al te veel overigens: contrast bijgewerkt, kleurtjes wat aangepast, beetje met de verzadiging gespeeld etc. De enige echte "bewerking" wat erin zit is een gedeeltelijke "diffuse glow". Hierdoor springt het water er beter uit.
