sheet for a timber building competition, which focused on the design being modular and therefore detailing of joints was essential. in short a timber techtonic project. we chose to take the form of a leaf that had curled up which we found on site, to inform the design. we carried it out using a PTFE sheet, stretched and anchored over a timber frame structure. the idea was to create a theatre space and gallery in a park, jesmond dene with an area of open seating. the park is in a deep valley of sorts. good project, just missed out on a first. models will be posted on soon. this goes on with thanks to angus for desiging the details, and tom for doing outstanding models.
