EDIT: You know, I love drawing characters from books and looking at others' interpretations of characters from books because it seems everyone's interpretation is different. That's one of the reasons I love reading SO much. You can create you own illustrations for the story in your mind and compare/contrast your interpretation with your friends. Amazing!
Like someone else might draw Firepaw (just as an example) with longer fur or without stripes or Graypaw with shorter fur or longer legs. And, of course, I'd be thrilled to see that perspective. And this can be done with any books ...
That's why I love books without illustrations best and why I have such a hard time with movies based on books. I have my own interpretations of the book's characters. It's like the movie's trying to set a standard for how they should look and/or act. But anyway ... A movie based on a book is technically someone else's interpretation of that book, so who am I to say they're wrong?
