magnificent colors... the thumb really catches your eye, and the pattern of the brush stroke holds it well when you zoom in

I really liked the perspective and the twisted anatomy of the face! I think that's what makes the painting so unique and brilliant. The colors are also very breathtaking. I love that swirl of light going by and around the head, it makes me think that maybe it's stardust drifting by.The light in the eye also makes me think that this person is looking up at the stars, and that impression I get, mixed with these awesome colors, gives me a hopeful but nervous feeling. Maybe excitement? This painting has also got a very cool texture!

Great use of colour and perspective. That nice off-white line lining the subjects skin makes it look like he's glowing. Visual stunning, absolutely powerful. +fav

I like the kinda skewed anatomy in this, but if you want to make it realistic I can give you some tips. If you think about the front of the face as a flat plane you will notice the nose seems to be skewed to the left and the mouth to the right. The eye also seems to be on its own plane. When you are drawing a face or any figure, try to keep a basic representation of what the figure should look like in 3 dimensional space in the back of your head. The anatomy book I'm studying right now states that the only true way to be able to accurately draw a human figure is to be able to conceive the figure in your subconscious. They say the subconscious specifically because the conscious part of your brain lacks the grace and attention span to fully conceive the dimensional details. Ive been trying to visualize the head as a sphere or box, or even broken down in a several basic shapes, and it helps alot in laying a foundation and figuring out how different body parts should look from different angles.
I dunno if that makes sense to you, just ask if you want me to explain better
and if you want me to shutup just ask too lol

I know I havent commented much on your work since I've been watching, but I've viewed every single one of your deviations since this summer - and I can objectively say you've definitively progressed in your work and techniques, congratulations.
I thought this was a good example.

Great stuff. The pose is so bizarre. So striking.

One comment: The white of the eye seems too blown out to me given the texture of the rest of it. I'm sure this was for effect but I'd like to see tones in there as well.

But great as always!

I really like the blue tone and her lashes, but I must admit, somehow the nose looks a bit...weird...to me
...but I give you a chocolate* anyway

Wow, that's really good and seeing it in all its A1 glory must be pretty impressive I think maybe the forehead isn't perfect, like it isn't wide enough possibly, I'm not sure about it, I could just be looking at it wrong. Would you like a chocolate?
