Oh I know! They deserve a little attention. Honestly in the lion king it seemed to me that they were really just hungry. I know they were bad guys but maybe they wouldn't have been if they had gotten a little more to eat. >.<

Yeah. It made sense that they supported Scar who promised to help them. I'm not sure if it was explained but it's a bit weird that the hyenas had to live in a place where they could find nothing to eat for some reason that's never mentioned. Maybe I'm just thinking too much about a Disney film, though <_<

Probably something that's related to "The Circle of Life". Then again... the hyenas should be mentioned somewhere in that, too - if everyone and everything fits into the Circle of Life... well, you know what I mean.
Okay, looking at the amount of hyenas that live in the Outlands it would make sense to say that there were just too many - but that lalso means that it doesn't make sense for that many to survive in a land that's so barren. It's... weird.

So do I. I figure that the hyena clan just kept growing and growing and eating more and more. The idea for my story is that as the hyena clan grew the current king tried to suggest that the hyena's split off and that some leave. Of course they just continued hunting and eating until they all had to be thrown out.

Thank you! Yeah, I still have huge problems with shading (with most pictures I just add colour where I think it looks right). I'll definitely add shading and details when I have time

I was actually "afraid" to even try to shade my art, but I´ve practised how to use shadows and lights since 2010, I guess.

It's the same with drawing humans. I get frustrated way too easily, even though I really want to be able to draw people <_< Luckily my friend always cheers me on so that I keep trying

Oh, and I forgot sketching, I hate it because I do almost always like five sketches for one piece, then I choose best one and start linearting, etc...

For me , sketching goes like this: I draw thousands of small lines for the sketch (because I keep telling myself "this time it's only going to be the SKETCH layer") so that when I make a new layer for lineart I have no idea where to draw the real outline - so in the end I just keep erasing lines on the stupid sketch layer until it looks acceptable. The drawings pretty much always look completely different from what I originally wanted to draw. Mostly because I'm not good enough to make it look the way I imagined. Not even when I have reference pictures.
I changed a few things - I added a few shadows and some things for the background. I'm not even sure that anyone but me can see it, though :c
Do you have any suggestions?
