I just lost a lot of work on one of my pictures when I accidentally saved and photoshop crashed, so I am feeling kinda bummed right now...... ._. Sigh.So I doodled Derpy, and now I feel a little better. Have some mail!
Pic is large, yet again, so good for desktops and such.
The texture is from some watercolors I was playing with.
I might try a fluttershy in this style...

I love the way the sketchy lines somehow make the picture more simple and elegant, instead of making it busier (since logically you'd expect clean lines to make a drawing more simplified).
How do you choose the different positions when you're drawing wings? In all of your pictures (that have wings) the wings seem to have unique poses that really fit nicely with the posing of the character itself, especially for Derpy.

Haha, it is about 50% digital--the background is traditional watercolors, and the lines are pencil on paper, but all the coloring on Derpy is done in photoshop. ^-^
