Genius! Its one thing to throw shit together (with good work of course) in photoshop and get great results - but to set things up without any effects is the old school showing how you learn and get alot more in life by doing things the long way!

Beautiful! Did you have anyone helping you? Have you edited that anyhow with photoshop?
I was just wondering, you must be a professional photgrapher. Working as a photographer?

Davenit In reply to Ratas [2004-04-21 13:58:28 +0000 UTC]
Thanks. No help. Just a lot of trial and error. Editing was basic. Level, curves, usm, selective color. Cloned out some dirt and a rouge shadow in one of the corners.
Pro? Not really. I don't make my living at it. Infact I am not even interested in doing so. I just love doing it. It is a great release.
Thanks again... Dave

Even though I love the shot and give you praise for the hours spent on it (after about three I'd kill myself...), I have to say that the wire doesn't seem quite right. Someone already mentioned the "homemade look" of the hook, which I think is okay, but the bending of the wire doesn't seem quite right with the look of the whole image. Maybe straightening the wire would have a more complete feel.
But being that you spent so long on it, I don't want to kill your determination here.

wow, impressive! i love the drops and the green. the hook is a little... um, homemade looking? in comparison to the slickness of the rest of the shot, and that simultaneously distracts and gives a sense of the seediness of addiction. really, REALLY well done.

1) No. I had to empty and clean after every shot... Never again.
2) The drunk snuck up on me. Screwdrivers for the last 4 hours of shooting... LOL
3) About 200 clicks were setup, exposure, look, comp. Getting the exposure right was most of it. The other 300 were just trying to get the water to cooperate.
Thanks for your thoughts... Dave
