Description
Second in the series. Simple concept of a simple subject. The apple that changed the world as some would see it.Really dug the way the smoke climbed off the apple. Lighting nightmare. Diffused light everywhere and still holding the smoke. I learned a ton from this image.

how'd you make the smoke coat the apple? and did you hang the apple with a nylon cord or was it resting on something. your concepts are really amazing, sir.

I added to favorites just because of the blue smoke, then afterward noticed the almost silky appearance of the smoke of both colors. Pretty neat.

I find this piece very intriguing. The way the smoke is rising reminds me of vector art, very ethereal. How many lights did you end up using? I'm counting four... I could be wrong though...

Beautiful! I don't know much about photography so I really can't give you constructive criticism on the image itself, but the symbolism is striking. I love how the smoke is so brilliant white and mono-directional (suggesting the loss of original innocence perhaps) and the blackness encroaching from the bottom adds a nice sense of mystery.

Hm, personally I am not a fan of the light on the apple. There's kind of a dark rectangle on the bottom left corner, and I would have preferred a smoother, more uniform black-to-apple gradient. But seeing as the lighting was an issue, I'm not really gonna bug you about it. And the smoke is kickass!

I find this piece beautiful, to me it shows that though the apple is beautiful. and tempting it is deadly and that your messing with fire if you dare to touch it.

I forget the scent but if you burn a ton of incense like I did for all my shots it just ends up smelling like smoke. My studio wreaks. LOL
