Thor: I wanna hammer it with the ship...
Robau: Mr. Kirk, what are you talking about.
Thor: I've gotta break something... Stupid lobsters.
Robau: Maybe I shouldn't make you captain... O___O

Very nice. I like how quickly you're working with the new movie. Poor Kelvin. It didn't deserve that kind of pain... I'm thinking it would have been wise to keep some distance from the unknown anamaly
Great job with the image. The kelvin looks great and that is certainly a lightning storm in space.

Thank you very much.
Yeah, those Sarfleet dudes always move too close...

Well I dunno, you see something cool in space, you wanna just go up and take a look. I found myself strangely entranced by Oklahoma lightning storms (so many flashes, almost turns night into day).
Starfleet crews are kinda like storm-chasers, in a way. They know its dangerous, but their curiosity cancels out their fear.
Besides, how could they possibly have known the frakking mining dreadnought of DOOM was gonna come out of there? (What is a mining vessel doing with such strong weapons, anyway?)

The Narada was a simple mining vessel untill the Tal Shiar upgraded it with reverse-engineerd Borg technology so that Nero could take his revenge.
(as seen in ST: Countdown)

Well, the Narada was thrown 150 years into the past.
This is like forcing the NX-01 Enterprise to fight the NCC-1701-E Enterprise. Two totally different leagues.
To the USS Kelvin, even a "simple mining vessel" from 2385 would seem unstoppable. And remember, that's a *Romulan* mining vessel!

Amazing perspective.
The Kelvin really seemed tiny in the movie, despite that the little thing held out an impressive amount of time.

Oh gods, you should have seen the canon fights we had in the Okudagramns.com forums. Such shame
I don't nitpick canon, but I do ask how that ginormous brewry/waterworks of an engineering set actually fit inside the hull of the ship. Is it like the TARDIS, bigger on the inside? lol

Makes you kind of wish it WAS real just to see it.
I like how small the Kelvin looks to the event (even though it is quite true).
